The Gold Cup Wine Bar becomes the only option for food and drinks at the Salamander Resort once the restaurant, Harriman's, closes. The wine is delicious and the bartenders and servers know their wine, so you can absolutely ask for a recommendation. The wine changes with the week, so the menu is always updating, but they have an extensive list of bottles both red and white. The beers on tap are all local Virginia beers which is a fun experience, and the food is delicious.
I had a Knife & Fork Caesar Salad with a Crab Cake on top, and it was delicious! The wings are also a tasty (though spicy) option.
Staff is great management is also amazing. One of the only places open later in the town. Great casual experience on an amazing luxury resort property. You do not have to stay at the resort to eat or drink here.
